Vivid LIVE
Yesterday I spent the day writing about all the different events that will be happening as apart of Vivid LIVE. Though they have ditched the whole curatorial aspect, they have managed to produce one their best line ups yet (well I think). I'm really excited to see Karen O's self described pyscho opera 'Stop the Virgens', boogie to Tom Vek at the Modular party, swoon over Florence and all her pretty dresses, be hypnotised by my favourites Seekae and watch James Murphy's last days with LCD Soundsystem in 'Shut Up and Play the Hits'. SCUBA STYLIN'
High necklines, bold prints, Bondi and surf influences- this Vogue spread has it all. I've never been a massive Catherine McNeil fan but you certainly can't flaw her in any off these photos shot by Max Doyle.

MBFWA

Fashion week is back this year with a new title sponsor on board and a strong collection of old and new Aussie designers. Johanna Johnson will be making her MBFWA debut and I can't wait to see her old Hollywood glamour frocks sparkle and catch the light of the Overseas Passenger Terminal. Another brand making their debut will be print masters We Are Handsome. Zimmermann is off site again this year and after choosing the Throttle Shop (a vintage car dealership in North Sydney) as their venue last year I'm really excited to see where they take their show this year. I'm also looking forward to seeing how Oroton transform a line off accessories into a full runway show. Flowers for Vagabond will be showing and after their group show last year it will be exciting to see what they do with their own show so good luck to them. One of my favourite shows from last year was Josh Goot so fingers crossed the possibility of him showing becomes a reality- according to Frockwriter sass & bide, Dion Lee and camilla and marc are also still possibilities.
